ECOSYSTEM
On View:
“The Garden”
Ecosystem is an immersive world where visitors interact with art-inspired landscapes, coloring animals and elements that come to life before their eyes. Once scanned, the animals from the portal, roam across the environment, spilling onto the room’s walls and merging with the projection-mapped environment. Visitors step into a living artwork, interacting with the scene. The boundaries between nature, art, and imagination blur, creating a playful, ever-evolving ecosystem where art and reality coexist.
DRAWING STATION
Mercer’s unique characters and creatures can be colored in on the paper provided. The characters drawn by everyone spawn inside the portal and come to life to live in the ecosystem forever. From a winged sphinx to a strange version of a praying mantis, they become part of the installation. The portal invites visitors to engage and interact, transforming their surroundings into a playground of imagination.
ECO SIMULATOR
On View:
“Automated Ecosphere”
A digital ecosystem, surrounded by mirrors, in constant flux, where the visitor’s touch guides transformation. By controlling a robotic arm, guests manipulate virtual objects, generating new landscapes and altering the environment in real time. The minimalist, futuristic design of the space—defined by smooth surfaces and soft lighting—echoes the clinical precision of a high-tech laboratory. As the projections shift and adapt, the room becomes a living, evolving interface between technology and creativity, exploring the interplay of control, randomness, and transformation in a synthetic world
BALL POND
Slide and climb free into the ball pond on the interactive slide that functions and transforms with active movement. Explore the tangible digital world through play and interaction. An island of balls in the interactive water environment.
